Webinar Overview
Join this webinar by Section 508 and assistive technology experts from the U.S. General Services Administration. First assistive technology (AT), accessibility, and accommodation and how they relate will be explained. Participants will then be introduced to the kinds of AT used by persons with disabilities to access web content like distance learning. This will provide insight into the importance of creating accessible distance learning courses and learning management systems. Next will be a brief discussion of Section 508, and how to include accessibility in contracts. This will be followed by a discussion of how accessibility needs to be considered at each phase of the acquisition life-cycle. The presenters will also share some GSA resources available to help create contracts for accessible distance learning solutions.
